As a mom, it is so easy to lose sight of yourself and what that even means to you anymore.
Here’s 7 ways you could begin your journey back to self, even if that self is the new version of you.
1: Write a journal entry about your passions and what you liked to do as a kid. If you can’t think of anything that you liked to do, you can write down what you want to do.
2: Turn on music and move your body freely (it doesn’t matter what this dance looks like.)
3: Turn everything off and sit in silence. A candle lit bath in the dark works too. I love wood wick candles!
4: Stand barefoot outside in sunlight. Ground yourself. (I do this to calm my baby when nothing else is working.)
5: Write about what you’d do with your life if no one else judged you or influenced you in any way.
6: Write about what you’d do if you had unlimited money.
7: Make a warm beverage and cuddle with your dog/cat/partner/kids. Cuddling releases oxytocin.
