Your baby is teething and cries when you do anything but hold her and keep walking. (P.S. this Tushbaby Hip Carrier is a lifesaver for me). You haven’t cleaned your house in a week and don’t even know where to start. You can’t remember when you last took a shower or even brushed your hair. You’re starting to wonder if your hair is going to get stuck in that top knot it’s lived in since becoming a mom. You’re exhausted and you just want to be done.
Whatever “done” looks like. lol
Long story, short, you’re not feeling the love and you’ve completely disconnected from yourself and your baby. And now the mom guilt is settling in your mind again because you think you CANNOT snap out of this irritating funk you’re in.
Keep reading to remind yourself that you are capable, worthy, and your baby still loves you even on your worst days. Maybe even read these out loud too. Your baby loves your voice, mama.
- Every storm runs out of rain. Even if just for a small break.
- One day you will get a shower. A full relaxing shower.
- Your baby loves you. A freaking lot.
- You’re going to miss these days in the future.
- Just stop trying to do anything else, you’re fueling your anger when you can’t get it done.
- Live like you’re stuck in slow motion for the day. Stop trying to hurry. Babies don’t do hurrying.
- You deserve to be loved unconditionally.
- You’re not a bad mom, you’re having a rough day.
- Someone out there does understand your situation (me) even if no one in your direct life does.
- Being a mom without any breaks is incredibly hard. You are not overexagerating or being weak.
Remember: You are capable, worthy, and deserving of unconditional love. Show yourself some compassion!
